Facebook buys photo-app maker Lightbox

If you thought Facebook was good on mobile photo sharing after it bought Instagram for $1 billion, you’re wrong. Facebook has just acquired Lightbox and it’s another company which specializes in making mobile photo-sharing apps.

Back in the dark old days, there was no Instagram for Android but we were very intrigued by Lightbox because not only did it have photo filters, it provided a visually-pleasing way to store all of your photos for Android devices.
